Etsy doesn't allow live animal sales, so you'll grab those separately, easy to find through local pet stores, reptile expos, or online invert sellers like Josh's Frogs or invert-focused Facebook groups. Takes maybe five minutes to order once you know where to look.\n\nNow, here's what makes this kit different.\n\nMost starter kits give you one cup and hope for the best. We built ours with two, on purpose. If one culture ever molds out or dries up on you (it happens to everybody eventually), you've already got a second one going instead of starting completely over. A lot of experienced keepers run their cultures this way anyway, we just figured why not build the kit around it from day one.\n\nWhat you get:\n\n- 2x 16oz culture cups, so you've always got a backup\n- Biochar substrate, made right here on our farm from aged hardwood we burn and quench ourselves, not something poured out of a bag\n- A feeding sample to get your first culture started\n- Full instructions included in the order\n\nOnce your springtails arrive, it's simple. Drop them in the cup, keep a little water in the bottom, and offer a pinch of the feeding sample every so often. That's really it.\n\nSpringtails are one of the best things you can add to a bioactive setup. They break down mold, keep things balanced, and if you're keeping something that eats them, they're a solid feeder too.\n\nWe hand collect and process everything ourselves in Middle Tennessee. No shortcuts, no mystery ingredients, just real material off our own farm.","brand":"My Store","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67385489654001,"sku":null,"price":14.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0824\/2793\/7009\/files\/337d661f-il_fullxfull.8470571655_nbpe.jpg?v=1793420522","url":"https:\/\/habitatsupplyco.com\/products\/springtail-culture-starter-kit-bioactive-terrarium-supplies-springtail-substrate-food-farm-made-biochar","provider":"HabitatSupplyCo.","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
